An Eastern versus Western Conference showdown takes place tonight, as the Phoenix Suns welcome the New York Knicks to the Footprint Center. 

ESPN will host the match, and the money is currently even, with the money line split 51/49 percent in favor of New York. The spread is 55/45 percent in favor of the Suns. It should be a close game according to the early sharks.

 

 

 

New York Knicks: Who Loves The Sun

The Knicks find themselves in the desert of Arizona after a four-game home stretch. Even the proudest Manhattan dweller would find the late Autumn sun of Arizona pleasing. The Knicks are not there for vacation though, they are there to win a basketball game and currently -5.5 favorites to do so.

New York has a rockstar starting lineup that is missing a few depth pieces, but they are still struggling to find their rhythm. Karl Anthony-Towns should have a huge game, particularly if Jusuf Nurkic is unable to play, but more on him later.

The Knicks are fourth in the Eastern Conference, but would be eighth in the West, right behind the Phoenix Suns. The potential for the Knicks to blow out the Suns is minimal, but there is a chance.

 

 

 

Phoenix Suns: Phoner To Arizona

The Phoenix Suns started out as one of the hottest teams in the Association. They now are on a four-game losing streak, which happens to be the longest in the Western Conference. The Suns are running into the same issues they did last year, not enough quality depth.

Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant are both out, and both eat up a large percentage of the salary. The glaring issue with a superstar lineup is the high cost on the front end, which makes the bench subpar at best. Tyus Jones was a great off-season acquisition and Booker is doing what he can… but he has proven the inability to carry a team. 

Jusuf Nurkic is needed and if he is unable to go the spread will drastically swing in favor of the Knicks. If you feel like Nurkic does play, it could be wise to bet on the spread at +5.5, but if there is a notion he will not, it would be wise to wait until the spread moves.

Knicks vs. Suns Prediction: Karl Anthony-Towns Over 25.5 Points (-110 on BetMGM)

Karl Anthony-Towns has been playing great as a New York Knick and averaging a double-double as the Knicks premiere big man. 32.9 minutes, 26.4 points, and 12.4 rebounds per game are MVP level numbers, and there is little indication of those numbers drastically changing.

He has exploded for several points this season and should have the easiest mismatch of the night regardless of if Jusuf Nurkic plays or not. Anthony-Towns is playing at an elite level, which should be expected from a 4-time All-Star selection. The betting pick for this game is 26 or more points, and we are trusting him with a unit tonight.
