There are five amazing games happening this holiday that are part of the NBA slate. Even though the NFL is trying to take over the NBA's special day, the NBA has every right to celebrate it. The very first NBA game took place at Madison Square Garden back in 1947, when Harry S. Truman was the president.

The last game to begin on Christmas this year features two teams that just battled two days ago. They are familiar foes, and it should be a great game to close out the night with former Finals MVPs dueling it out.

Denver Nuggets: Santa Claus is Coming to Town

The reigning MVP has been raining down on his opponents, most recently against the Phoenix Suns. Nikola Jokic leads the league in triple doubles and he could be dishing out smiles tonight… for Denver Nuggets fans.

The Nuggets are currently fifth in the Western Conference and have a winning record on the road. They absolutely destroyed the Suns in their most recent match, and it could be more of the same as the Nuggets are a problem for the Suns without Booker. Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Phoenix Suns: Blue Christmas

The Phoenix Suns are currently eleventh in the Western Conference, not even in the play-in. It is indeed a Blue Christmas for the Suns. However they are a .500 team and have a much better record at home, 9-6. Devin Booker will still be out for this game, but the rest of the starters are good to go.

Jusuf Nurkic will need to play much better than he has historically against his former team. Kevin Durant has a chance to carry them to a victory with an all-time performance, but he will need help from the role players.

Nuggets vs. Suns Predictions & Picks Today: Christmas Day 12/25

The spread is only two points in favor of the Nuggets, and that seems more than achievable for the 2023 NBA Champions.

However, both of these teams have been inconsistent and that leads to a special same game parlay today.

Nuggets vs. Suns Prediction: DEN ML, Aaron Gordon Over 5.5 Rebounds and 1+ Threes Made (+325 on Bet365) *0.5 Units

The money line is suggested as a base for this parlay, but if the spread is preferred, then place it. Denver should make easy work of the Suns, and the money line is still at -135 depending on the sportsbook. Aaron Gordon is an unsung hero nationally but for Nuggets fans he is the People’s Champ.

He does a lot of unnoticed work and with how Nikola Jokic attacks game plans he could have much higher assists this game. Gordon has been playing the power forward game well, and complimenting Jokic well. He has six or more rebounds in his last five of six games and only played 23 minutes in the game he didn't achieve six rebounds.

Six rebounds against the Suns is more than possible with the effort Gordon plays with. He has also attempted two or more threes in all but the very first game of the season. He has made six threes in his last five games, and asking one to be made isn’t that much.

There is a 50% Same Game Parlay Boost on Bet365 which puts this bet at +325, fantastic odds. Put a half a unit on the parlay and cheer on Gordon and the Nuggets in the last game of the night.
