San Antonio Spurs: Feels Just Like It Should

The San Antonio Spurs have revamped their team and have the right combination of veterans and young talent to make it to the playoffs. They are currently twelfth in the Western Conference with a 23-28 record, but could make a push in the last third of the season.

They are led by Victor Wembanyama but the addition of Harrison Barnes has provided a reliable point scorer. The combination of Stephon Castle and Jeremey Sochan lead a great second unit, capable of providing scoring while their starters rest. The roster construction is an improvement and Chris Paul is still a great maestro on the court. Since the trade San Antonio’s management are thinking it Feels Just Like It Should.

Boston Celtics: Something About You

The Boston Celtics are still the elite team of the NBA. They recently defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, have won seven of their last ten games, are on a two-game win streak, and are defending champions. As the famous Boston song states, there is ‘Something About You’.

Jrue Holiday is still inactive, but the Boston Celtics have a great player in Payton Pritchard. Kristaps Porzingis has a tough assignment against Victor Wembanyama. The Celtics enjoy an -8.5 point spread against the Spurs and that could be in question.

Spurs vs Celtics Predictions & Picks Today: Wednesday 2/12

The Spurs could play well behind Victor Wembanyama, but he does have offensive help around him.

However, the defense still resides heavily on his shoulders.

Spurs vs Celtics Prediction: Victor Wembanyama 4+ Blocks (+155 on DraftKings)

With that being the case, a teased-up blocking proposition is suggested. Wembanyama’s blocking line is set at 2.5 and heavily juiced, -154. He plays so well in the spotlight and Boston attempts several field goals per game, it is a logical teased up line.

Wembanyama has four or more blocks in four of his last nine games. He is averaging 3.6 blocks per game and Boston has tall players that rely on their length. Even though the scouting report clearly indicates Wembanyama can block shots that others cannot, offense requires routine.

Players like to get to certain spots on the floor and have a routine of attempting a field goal once they get there. Some of those spots are drives to the paint and close attempts near the rim. He can block those with ease, but he has also blocked several three-point attempts.

Instead of taking the juiced line, risk it with the smart bet of Wembanya essentially earning his average. This is a marque match, and the 7:00 PM ET slot of ESPN. Put a unit on Wembanyama to shine with four or more blocks at great odds.
