Warriors vs. Lakers Predictions for NBA on TNT, 4/3
When we said that tonight’s Warriors vs. Lakers matchup is all but a playoff series, that was only barely an exaggeration. After Golden State’s win on Tuesday night, the standings has this set up to be a first round matchup!
As if an in-state rivalry wasn’t exciting enough with Stephen Curry and LeBron James, that only makes Warriors vs. Lakers predictions even more exciting. It’s a rivalry that has favored LA bettors in a massive way this season, but after seeing Stephen Curry’s 52 points two nights ago, will that change things tonight?
The best bet from our Warriors vs. Lakers picks will help answer that after discussing more about each team and checking out the latest Warriors vs. Lakers odds.
Golden State Warriors: Steph Shines Again
Don’t worry - there was no way that we were going to mention Stephen Curry scoring 52 points the other night and just gloss over that. The chef was absolutely cooking, and by now most fans have at least heard about his elite performance. So, just how elite was it? Well, aside from further solidifying himself as arguably the best shooter in NBA history, he joined elite company.
The 52-point night against the Memphis Grizzlies was Stephen Curry’s 15th 50-point game. That’s tied for the sixth-most in NBA history, and it’s how he’s able to string together points in such quick succession that sets him apart. He was the first Warriors player with 30 points, five rebounds and five assists in a single half since the 1996-97 season.
Los Angeles Lakers: Going For The Season Series Sweep
As for LeBron James and the Lakers, we last saw them the night before that Stephen Curry performance, which was a 104-98 home win over the Houston Rockets. For what it’s worth, we had a best bet on the under for that game, which hit for us by a whopping 24.5 points.
We plan on having as good of a read on the Lakers again for you as LA has had on the Warriors this season. Already going 3-0 against Golden State is impressive enough, but from a betting standpoint, they’ve also covered the spread in all three of those wins! That’s not the only trend, either, and we’ll cover more within our best bet breakdown.
Warriors vs. Lakers Odds, Spreads, Total & Betting Lines
One last thing before that best bet - here are the latest Warriors vs. Lakers odds via DraftKings Sportsbook:
- Point Spread: Golden State Warriors +2 (-110) vs. Los Angeles Lakers -2 (-110)
- Money Line: Golden State Warriors (+110) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (-130)
- Game Total (Over/Under): Over 228.5 (-110) vs. Under 228.5 (-110)
Warriors vs. Lakers Best Bet: Golden State Money Line (+110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
That’s right - the best bet from our Warriors vs. Lakers predictions is going to go against that aforementioned trend. Yes, the Lakers have been great against Golden State this season, but beating a team four times in a season is something we don’t often see, especially with such evenly matched teams.
However, we understand that plenty of fans won’t want to focus their Warriors vs. Lakers picks on this approach, so here’s the other trend we mentioned was also a part of this series - these teams have gone over the total in all three games this season.
Having said that, each of these three trends aren’t exactly ones that were record setting. The totals only went over but a few points each, and in terms of the spread, LA hasn’t exactly blown out the Warriors. Their wins came by just two, 10 and eight points, and with the groove Golden State is on right now, they can absolutely avoid the season series sweep.
Oh, and this is all without mentioning that this California clash hasn’t occurred with the likes of Jimmy Butler and Luka Doncic on their new respective teams. With that in mind, it could perhaps be another reason for you to take the over. However, we see it in a different light.
This also means that the Lakers no longer have Anthony Davis. What’s the number one way to exploit the Warriors small size? With a big man like AD. With him no longer in the mix, it only further has us loving Golden State’s money line (+110 at DraftKings Sportsbook) as the best bet from our Warriors vs. Lakers predictions.
Warriors vs. Lakers Injury Report & Starting Lineups
We’ve already mentioned several superstars, and thankfully, these teams are about as healthy as we could ask for. While LA remains without Maxi Kleber and the Warriors without Gary Payton Jr, the projected Warriors vs. Lakers starting lineups are just what we’d expect:

Player News
Isaiah Stewart (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against the Knicks.
Initially questionable for Thursday’s game, Stewart has been upgraded to available. As Jalen Duren’s backup, he’ll provide rebounding and defense and can be rostered in active deep leagues.
Ty Jerome, Sam Merrill, De’Andre Hunter, Dean Wade and Jarrett Allen will start Thursday’s game against the Pacers.
Allen is the only regular in the Cavaliers’ starting lineup for Thursday’s game. However, with Cleveland having secured the top seed in the East, Allen is not expected to play starters’ minutes. Jerome, Merrill, Hunter and Wade are all worth streaming with Cleveland playing Thursday’s game without four starters.
Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride, Mikal Bridges, Precious Achiuwa and Karl-Anthony Towns will start Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
The Knicks are down two starters for Thursday’s game, which could be a first-round preview. Josh Hart and OG Anunoby are out, and they’ve been replaced in the lineup by McBride and Achiuwa. While both players are worth streaming in deep leagues, McBride offers a higher fantasy ceiling.
Cade Cunningham, Tim Hardaway Jr., Ausar Thompson, Tobias Harris and Jalen Duren will start Thursday’s game against the Knicks.
Cunningham and Harris were probable for Thursday’s game, so the status upgrades mean the Pistons can go with their usual starting five. Dennis Schroder will come off the bench, which limits his fantasy value.
Jamal Murray (hamstring) is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Murray has missed Denver’s last six games, most recently playing on March 26. Given the doubtful tag, it appears likely that he will remain out on Friday. If so, Jalen Pickett would stay in the starting lineup, and he would be worth a look in active leagues. Pickett was solid in 31 minutes on the court against the Kings on Wednesday, while the inconsistent Russell Westbrook played 17 minutes off the bench.
Ochai Agbaji (rest) and Jamal Shead (rest) are off the injury report for Friday’s game against the Mavericks.
Agbaji and Shead were held out of Wednesday’s win over the Hornets for reasons of rest. With Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett among the players who will not play in Dallas, minutes will not be an issue for Agbaji or Shead. They’re both worth slotting into lineups in active fantasy leagues.
