Hurricanes vs. Flyers Prediction: Wednesday, November 20th

Today we start the betting with a Metropolitan rivalry matchup between the Hurricanes and Flyers! The Canes are unsurprisingly on a roll right now as they’ve won 8 of the last 10 games and have been one of the best defenses in the NHL allowing just 2 goals per game! That sets up our wager for this game as the Hurricanes defense is suffocating and the Flyers, while they’ve been playing better of late, are going to struggle to score. 

Overall, the Philly offense has scored 2.56 goals per game which is in the bottom 10 of the league standings. The Flyers have gone under in 5 of 9 home games so far this season while the Hurricanes have gone under at a record 8-6-3 on the season. These divisional games are often tight checking as well so give me the under here tonight as trends should continue. 

In addition to the game total I am going to add a goalie prop for our card tonight! Pyotr Kochetkov has been awesome this season for the Hurricanes with a record of 9-2-0 on the season and a 2.41 GAA. I don’t expect him to be tested much tonight though as the Flyers average just 26.1 shots on goal per game. Due to that I am going to take the under on his saves tonight as the volume won’t be there and the Hurricanes should dominate possession throughout.
