The Utah Hockey Club isn’t a super effective offensive team this season and they know they win from a defense first approach. That strategy is reflected by the stats of this team as they allow just 2.76 goals per game on the road this season and score only 3.09. This has led to Utah hitting the under or pushing away from the over in 23 of 38 games this season. 

On the home side the Stars can beat you in many ways from scoring handfuls of goals to having Jake Oettinger shut things down in the net. The latter seems to happen more on home ice though as the Stars are 14-6-1 on unders this season in the lone star state. This is likely because the Stars allow 2.24 goals per game at home this season, the 3rd fewest rate in the NHL. Between the teams and the goaltenders expected to start tonight I am backing the under as 6.5 is way too much for these teams.
